Conundrums That Bug Me

The definition of the word Conundrum is: A riddle or something that is puzzling.

I did not come up with these, yet I agree with each point made … do you???

“Here are six Conundrums in the United States of America today:

1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.”

Think about it !

These next three short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and our cultural drift:

“We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.”

That is totally irrational, but exactly the kind of thinking that is becoming the “new norm” for making social policy.

And here's another one worth considering ...

“Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about Welfare or the Food Stamp programs running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.”

Think about it ...

And Last but not least …

“Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but at the same time, we are NOT stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.”

Does that make sense to anybody out there?

Vote Early Vote Often

"Vote Early, Vote Often" was a slogan that I heard as a child growing up in Chicago. And it was not just a slogan, it was a call to arms of the "Democratic Party Machine" every election day. I remember well my childhood friends, who's fathers or mothers worked for the city, telling me how their parent would be given multiple ID's so they could vote multiple times. Who did they vote for??? For Democrat candidates that the "party bosses" told them to vote for of course. That's how you kept your job. Patronage is King in Chicago. Everyone in or from Chicago knows it, it's just the way things are done. You want a job with the city, you have to know somebody and you have to bring in money and votes. The "Machine" feeds on money and votes and it controls everything through government agencies. Want a building permit approved? Grease the right hand and you move to the front of line to get yours approved. That's the way of "Big Government", it's all about control and control guarantees power and money.
Let me give you an example of how the "Democratic Party Machine" works in Chicago. In Chicago, you had 4 men on a garbage truck collecting the trash throughout the neighborhoods decades after other cities had gone to the automated systems where one man (the driver) would drive and collect the trash with no other assistance. So, was Chicago unable to get the same systems other cities used??? No, it wasn't that. They kept the old system because 4 men on a truck meant 4 votes that the "Machine" controlled, and not just those 4 votes, they controlled the votes of those men's families. Want to keep your job? Then you, your spouse and your voting age children better all vote to keep the "Machine" (Democratic Party) candidates in office.
Understand this; government is a parasite. It lives off the sweat and toil of the people. It creates no revenue for itself, it has to extract that from those of us who produce revenue. To survive and grow, it needs to suck more and more from us, the workers and producers of society. Want to move up in a government job? Then you must expand the number of people using or dependent on the services of your department or agency. The more non-government people dependent on your services, i.e. food stamp, housing, childcare recipients etc. the more people your department or agency will need and therefore the opportunity to advance to a management position will increase. Now to pay for that added staff and management, more money will have to be extracted from the pockets of the producers. That's right, those who don't work for the government. (you and me.) And those who are recipients of those handouts are told that they better vote for the "right party" or they could have those handouts taken away from them. So now you see how government control of handouts leads to control of votes, that leads to more government growth, that leads to more need for money that leads to more money being sucked from the pockets of the producers and so it goes ... on and on and on till the "government parasite" has killed it's host. (The collapse of the former Soviet Union is a prime example.)
Now in our country the pool of parasites and government workers continues to grow every year. Their self serving votes going to the party and candidates that promise them the most handouts. They don't realize that with every vote and every passing year the ruling party grows stronger and has more and more control over the basic needs of more and more of the population until they reach the magic number of majority, 51%. When 51% of the population is dependent on the government for it's job or it's life sustaining needs ... they OWN YOU and they will just eliminate free elections altogether. Complain and they will just take away your job, food, or housing. Think the police or army will come to your rescue? They have a government job and to keep it and to provide food and shelter for their family, they will gun you down in the street. Then those fools who took the handout of the bowl of gruel in exchange for their vote find themselves powerless to do anything when their handouts are now taken away. Welcome to serfdom. Serfdom that YOU voted for. So vote early but think before you vote.

Darkness Approaches

Four Blood Moons are coming and time is short, but I want people to realize who their real enemies are. So when things start to really break down, they won't trust them for help. What do I mean by four Blood Moons are coming? Four Blood Moons always accompany major events in Israel that have an impact on the whole world. So April 15th of 2014 is the first in the series of four and it falls on Passover which is significant. Again on October 8th on the Feast of Tabernacles. And then on April 4th 2015 Passover of that year and the final one on September 28th of 2015 which again falls on the Feast of Tabernacles. Now Right in the middle on March 20th 2015 there is a Total Solar Eclipse. Why are these signs in the heavens so important? Because of this: “The sun shall be turned to darkness (a total eclipse of the sun)… and the moon into blood (a lunar eclipse turns the moon red, this is called a blood moon, look it up on NASA’s site if you don’t believe me)… before the great and awesome day of the Lord.” Joel 2:30-31

Now the last piece to this next 2 years being of MAJOR Importance is that September 13th 2015 is a Shemitah (Shabbat) and the end of a 490 year cycle. Those who say, “so what”, need to realize what happened on the last 2 Shemitahs in 2001 and 2008. That’s right 9/11 was a Shemitah and so was the Stock Market crash in 2008 when the market dropped 777 points. The Shemitah happens every 7 years. For those who are unfamiliar with the importance of numbers in prophesy, 7 is the number of completion and of God Himself. And when anything is repeated 3 times it is like saying WAKE UP, THIS IS VERY, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT. Now add to this the 900 year old prophesy of the Popes which names the current Pope as the last Pope, the one who will reign during the End Of Days and I think you can understand why I am saying “WAKE UP”.

So what does this mean for the United States and the world? Evil is ascendant and darkness is coming, a darkness like never in the history of mankind. Lest the people of our nation humble themselves and pray, and seek God’s face, and turn from their wicked ways, the next Shemitah, September 13th, 2015, will bring with it a disaster of monumental proportions to this nation. Where will it take place? In New York City first. Why New York you ask…. Because it is the ground of consecration, the place where this nation was consecrated to God, and warnings and judgment always return to the ground of consecration. You see New York City was the Capital of this nation before it was moved to Washington and upon the day of his Inauguration, George Washington and the first Congress prayed and consecrated this nation to God in the little stone church that sits right next to ground zero. In fact the land that the twin towers were built on was previously owned by the church. We have had two warnings on the previous Shemitahs in 2001 and 2008. God is trying to get our attention and get us to turn around and head back to Him, back to the kingdom of light. The farther we move away from Him, the more we lose His protection and the more power over us that we give to the destroyer. His name is Lucifer to those of us who previously served him.

I know there are those who are now scoffing at what I have just said and at the future I have proposed here, but I don’t care. There have always been and will always be scoffers. They don’t believe in the spiritual realm. They don’t believe because they are incapable of deductive reasoning. They don’t know how to apply the laws of statistical probability to the information that I have laid out above. In addition, they are blind to the FACT that everything is spiritually based. That there are two resonating fields that exist around us at all times. You can tune into one or the other and whichever one you tune into, that’s the reality you will get. You can tune yourself with the light force or the dark force. Or as Einstein put it… “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” Open your eyes,… and see.

What is Going to Happen Next ???

If you think that the whole world has gone nuts and you wonder what is going to happen next… then you have come to the right place. I have answers for you. Over the last couple of years I have tried to give you insights into what the “Powers That Be” are doing and what their real agenda is all about. Now I am going to give you an insight into the “Powers behind the Powers That Be”, that’s right, I’m talking about the spiritual realm. Is this not prophetic ???   It's too bad that our youth have not been taught the lessons of history and the warnings of those brilliant minds that have gone before us.   If they had learned those important lessons, perhaps then our legislators would never have been allowed to create a 73,608 page Federal Tax Code. Or how about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) aka “Obamacare”…. that’s 2,700 pages but it seems that few of our legislators even know what’s on those pages.  Or as then Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi explained… “We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it”. Right, how did she ever get to be Speaker of the House, what happened, were they all out of simpletons and so they had to take a moron? Now that they passed it, I guess they will be able to explain it to the rest of us… right ??? God help us… wait… maybe He can.   Let’s look at what King Solomon had to say on the subject:

Proverbs 10:19 (MSG)    Ahhhhh there’s the rub, the “WISE” measure their words, and where in Washington are you going to find the “wise” ???    Right, we are doomed.

Learning From History

George Santanyana said; “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” We are at a point in our history when we need to remember our past before it’s to late.

There are 2 parts to this, please be sure to read the 2nd part in bold letters.

Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life and never stopped.

At 5, began studying under his cousin's tutor. At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French. At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages. At 16, entered the College of William and Mary . At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe. At 23, started his own law practice. At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses. At 31, wrote the widely circulated "Summary View of the Rights of British America and retired from his law practice. At 32, was a Delegate to the Second Continental Congress. At 33, wrote the Declaration of Independence. At 33, took three years to revise Virginia 's legal code and wrote a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom. At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia, succeeding Patrick Henry. At 40, served in Congress for two years. At 41, was the American minister to France , and negotiated commercial treaties with European nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams. At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington. At 53, served as Vice President and was elected president of the American Philosophical Society. At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions, and became the active head of Republican Party. At 57, was elected the third president of the United States . At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase , doubling the nation's size. At 61, was elected to a second term as President. At 65, retired to Monticello . At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine. At 81, almost single-handedly created the University of Virginia , and served as its first president. And at the age of 83, he died on July 4th, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence. Both he and John Adams died that same day within hours of each other.

Thomas Jefferson studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood the importance of learning and remembering the lessons of history, the nature of God, God’s laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most of our leaders understand today. Jefferson really knew, as few do, that about which he wrote and spoke. His is a voice from the past that can lead us now and in the future.

So great was the intellect of Thomas Jefferson that when John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the white House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time, he made this statement: "This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House, with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone." If only we had some leaders with the intelligence and wisdom of Jefferson running our country today.

Is this where we are headed?  Or are we already past the point of no return? 

Gun Ban Stupidity

Again we are hearing a drumbeat to ban guns of one form or another. Come, let us reason together.  Switzerland issues every household a rifle!   Every Swiss citizen is considered responsible for defense of the nation. Their Government Trains every adult they issue a rifle.  Switzerland has the LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD !!!   CLEARLY GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM.   Instead we should be talking about why so many of our young people are willing to kill innocent men, women, and children. WE have a MENTAL ILLNESS AND MORALITY PROBLEM in this nation. THAT is an issue that we should ALL AGREE to do something about.   And the fact that in the last 20 years,  16 violent incidents inside of schools involving guns or bladed weapons, were committed by individuals who were taking antidepressants at the time; should make us look at how these people are supervised.  I'm sure you have noticed TV commercials that list one of the "side effects" of many of these antidepressant drugs as suicide.  Maybe they should add "murder"  to the list.    


Let us pray for the families who have lost their greatest blessings, their children and loved ones, let us grieve as a nation for the senseless loss, then let's get to work on the REAL problem we face.

Obama’s BRILIANT Plan

With regard to the connection between taxes and the economy, Wednesday night, and yesterday on the campaign trail, the President once again displayed his astounding ignorance. 

When pressed to elaborate on what type of taxes on the “Rich” could  he see imposing or increasing, he said he could see putting a “tax on private/executive jets”.  Oh that tickles the ear of middle and lower class Joe and Jane….  “Ya” they say,  “those rich SOBs flying around in their private jets should pay more.  And if they can afford that plane, they can afford to pay a bigger share…. It’s only FAIR.”    Sounds good…. Right?  Well let’s look at the consequences of that type of Tax Strategy from the vantage point of history.  That’s right HISTORY… Or as George Santayana put it:             “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

So let’s go back to the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990. It had been labeled the Robin Hood tax by some economists because it would help “transfer money from the rich to the poor”.  Sound familiar ??? Yeah, that’s right, it’s Obama’s favorite theme for fanning the flames of “Class Envy”.  Get the lower and middle classes envious of the wealthy and in the mood to raise their taxes to; “make it fair”, to level the playing field”, blah, blah, blah.   

Well back in 1990 not everyone saw it that way, however.  A rare group of blue-chip retailers and blue-collar workers denounced it as a “disaster tax”.  The "luxury tax" that Congress adopted that year as part of a “comprehensive deficit-reduction plan”, sound familiar again ??? . The new 10% excise tax was tacked onto such goods as yachts, private airplanes, jewelry and furs.  The act was in the name of “fairness”, of course,  a stern tax on "luxury items"  (things those nasty “Rich” people buy).   Those items included high end automobiles, private aircraft, jewelry and furs.  And yachts costing more than $100,000.

Now in 1990 there were NO luxury excise taxes, all of them having been repealed in 1965, under who?  Oh yeah that was Johnson, a Democrat.  And Kennedy lowered taxes on the “Rich” job creators and the economy grew and revenue to the Treasury went up.    This works EVERY TIME IT HAS BEEN DONE, but perhaps every quarter-century or so government just cannot help itself but go on a "fairness" bender, the memory of the painful consequences from similar misadventures having been long forgotten.

In 1990 the Joint Committee on Taxation projected that the 1991 revenue yield from luxury taxes would be $31 million. It was only $16.6 million (about half) Why?  Because, big surprise now,  the taxation changed behavior: Fewer “Rich” people bought the taxed products.  Demand went down when prices went up. Washington was amazed. People bought their yachts overseas.  “Oh my Buffy”  Yeah, that’s right, “Rich” people could go overseas and buy their yachts and the lower cost over there and the tax savings would more than pay for them to fly over to say Indonesia, Thailand or Italy, custom order their yacht, enjoy a nice vacation there, fly home,  and still be ahead dollar wise.   Who would have thought that would happen???   DUH…  HOW ABOUT ANYBODY WITH A BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF ECONOMICS,  HUMAN BEHAVIOR AND THE ABILITY TO THINK.  Unfortunately, there always seems to be too few of those people in Congress. 

So what did happen when this “Brilliant Tax The Rich Plan” went into effect ???  Well according to a study done for the Joint Economic Committee, the tax destroyed 330 jobs in jewelry manufacturing, 1,470 in the aircraft industry and 7,600 in the boating industry (This doesn’t even include the jobs lost in the fur and auto industry).  These were GOOD PAYING JOBS.  The job losses cost the government a total of $24.2 MILLION in unemployment benefits and lost income tax revenues.  So the “net” effect of the taxes on the “Rich” was a loss of $7.6 million in fiscal 1991.  That’s right;  the plan resulted in a loss of JOBS and TAX DOLLARS.   Which means the government projection was off by $38.6 million, in just the first year, BRILLIANT!   Yeah, that type of thinking worked so well back then; that Obama wants to DO  IT AGAIN ?  Oh! That makes a lot of sense….   IF,  YOU WANT TO KILL JOBS AND REDUCE REVENUE TO THE TREASURY.  Or as Forrest Gump said “Stupid is as stupid does”.  Is the President really that stupid?

Let’s put this type of  STUPID, MORONIC THINKING IN THE TRASH ONCE AND FOR ALL, can we?   It has been calculated many times, that if the federal government imposed ….  in the name of “fairness”, of course….  a 100 % tax on ALL the earnings, of  ALL the  millionaires in the country, the sum would suffice to run the federal government for just a couple of  WEEKS, that’s right WEEKS.  The problem with that type of thinking is that it uses a "static analysis" model.   That is, it does not allow for behavioral changes the tax would provoke: No one would earn the one-millionth dollar, thereby triggering the 100% Confiscation Tax, so the revenue yield from the 100% rate on millionaires would be ZERO.  Or to put it another way; 100% of nothing is NOTHING.   The “Rich” are not going to just sit there and take it.  They will change their behavior just like anybody else would. 

For example; let’s say you are a multi-millionaire and you own a business making furniture (one of the few things we still manufacture in this country) and your 150 employees make a good wage plus benefits and a matching contribution to their 401k plan.  But Obama says that you make too much money and besides you didn’t build that company without help from others and the government, so you owe them a bigger share than what you are giving now and he is going to tax you at say 50% of everything you make over $250,000.  Well to some people that may seem fair because they don’t make anywhere near that amount per year.  But to you;  the business owner who worked 100+ hours per week to grow your company from a one man operation working out of your garage to what it is today,  and to you who still puts in 60+ hours per week and who is on call 24/7, and to you who is responsible for all the bills to keep this company solvent so those 150 employees have a job tomorrow.  To you, that $250,000+  income is not extravagant; it’s what you have been sacrificing all these years to get to.  And now they want to take even more of that away from you….   what are you going to do?  Well; being that you are a businessperson, you would ask yourself some questions and evaluate your options, wouldn’t you?  So let’s do that.  You would ask yourself:

-         Does it make sense for me to continue to grow my business here?

-         What is the risk to reward?

-         If I raise my prices to make up the loss of personal income, will that make more of my customers turn to foreign suppliers and will that mean I have to fire some workers because of lower production requirements?

-         Should I sell the business?  What will that mean for my employees?

-         Should I move the company to a state with lower labor costs to increase my gross profit and therefore my personal income to make up for what I am losing to the increased tax on me?  What will that mean for my employees?

-         Should I look at taking my company offshore where labor costs are lower and where there are lower Capital Gains taxes for my company?  In fact some places have incentives for me to move my company there.  Incentives like NO taxes the first 5 years.  Would that make it worth moving?

So, let me ask you, what do you think you would do?  Remember, YOU are the business owner.   Are you going to just sit there and let them take more and more of your hard earned money, or are you going to make changes that benefit YOU and YOUR FAMILY? 

If you are honest, you said “make changes to benefit me and my family”…  And that is exactly what every small and midsize business owner in this country will do.  

And just like the yachting industry leaving this country and taking all those good paying jobs with it, President Obama’s plan to Tax those private jets will just send that industry overseas along with the good paying jobs that it provides. 

A TAX POLICY HAS CONSEQUNECES.  TAX the “Rich” & HURT yourself.   Or to use the phrase Mitt Romney used Wednesday night and which I cheered:  “That’s Trickle Down Government” and it doesn’t work . 

Now, as always, I’m going to ask you to THINK…. 

Do you want to vote for a “businessman” who understands the thinking of  business owners (the people who can give you a job)?   Or do you want to vote for a socialist Community Organizer who wants to go down the same path that has been PROVEN BY HISTORY to lead to LESS JOBS and LESS revenue for the government ?  The choice is yours but PLEASE, for your children and grandchildren’s sake, THINK before you vote.
